She

She. Do you know what goes through someone when he spends sleepless nights and dreamy days? Or, perhaps, look elsewhere in the class when he should have been looking at the board or the teacher? Or, perhaps, satisfying himself with thoughts of “It is not to be” and yet hoping against hope?

Maybe. Maybe not.
I do.
All because of that ‘She’.

Have you loved someone for 3 years and still crave for one look? Has it happened to you that you get infuriated when someone speaks slightly untowardly about someone with whom you have seldom spoken? Has it happened to you that you get rejuvenated everytime you see her smile?

Maybe. Maybe not.
It happened to me. It happens to me.
All because of that ‘She’.

Has it occurred to you that when you see her with somebody else, you keep telling yourself that your happiness lies in hers, knowing deep within that it is only a poor consolation that you offer yourself? Do you feel relieved at the advent of a Friday when you can go home and yet feel a little down and a little lonely and disconnected? Does it feel futile coming to class at the absence of a single person?

Maybe. Maybe not.
I feel it.
All because of that ‘She’.

To be continued…

You have raised some fundamental questions on the topic of love. And despite knowing about whom you are writing about I just want to see how you map the rugged contours of passion and romance onto paper.

Someone joking said, "Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear drop." But then, seriously, I would also add a "yes" to the above list.

Well dont know what love is , still "happiness lies in HER happiness" is the most futile thing you could pen down. You dont compromise in love Saurav ,so.... its time you take the first step !

I'm guessing its not the Blue House, since as far as i recall you fell in love without even seeing her. Then it must be ..........(notice the number of dots) See, in these cases it becomes very dificult to gauge when your infatuation turns to love and then back to an infatuation again. What you are now feeling is not the full effect of the 'wine' of attraction but only an awkard even desparing hangover. Once you do get over (which even i confess i am having difficulty doing) you'll feel oddly liberated. As if you are free from the penances which you had deliberately (probably without reason) subjected yourself to.

Woody Allen described the state of lovebirds perfectly, thus!

"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you're getting this down."
